You’ve probably heard me say, “No one likes change but a wet baby.” It’s true; change is hard for all of us. But change does come.
This week I turned 52. There is no way to count the many ways in which change has affected my life. Some for the good, some for the bad and there was some that seemed for the bad that turned out for the good.
We are reminded in scripture that God works through change. In Isaiah 43:19 we read: “See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland.”
God uses change to help us to depend upon Him more. He uses change to help us to get a new perspective. He also uses change to get us out of our comfort zone. Change is not always bad, as long as we are trusting in God through the change. It can bring us closer to Him and to our brothers and sisters in Christ.
This Church has a great opportunity in the days ahead. With a new pastor comes new gifts, talents, and new ideas. Pray that as things change you will stay in touch with what God is doing and will seek His will in and through the change.
May God bless as you focus on Him today.
